From the Sand to Salt Spray

On this camping tour you'll get to experience a big slice of what the South Australian Eyre Peninsula has to offer.  From arid mallee forests to rugged coastlines.

Start your journey in the heart of the Eyre Peninsula at Camp Hideaway, home of Total Overland Tours.  Enjoy bush camping in our off-grid piece of paradise and experience the first night of camping in Dark Sky territory.

First nights dinner in the township of Cowell is included. 

We then set off into the coastal outback following the history of BHP from Whyalla to Iron Knob. (Yes we heard you giggle at that.)

Camp at the halfway point across Australia - Get those selfies with the sign and your vehicle to show you we're indeed ... halfwaaay there....🎶 ​

  • Tracking past the azure waters of the West coast of the Eyre Peninsula.
     

  • See local wildlife in the natures retreat from emus dashing across the road to kangaroos lounging around at camp
     

  • Finishing the Eyre loop back in Cowell with an insight into the local oyster industry and a last nights stay at Hideaway Camp
